Why 'Skimming Stones' ?.....

...because it sums up perfectly that contented feeling that I have when I am deep in creative thought or activity, far away from the everyday pressures of life, and near water, ...... any water, the river, a lake, a waterfall, ...a belfast sink sunk into our garden that is the microcosmic world of a family of newts... or best of all,....  near 'The Sea', 'The Ocean', 'The Beach'- even saying each of these phrases can fill me with a sense of calm and clear purpose. So my Blog is called Skimming Stones, and I will write here about my sea glass hunting adventures, my beach combing finds, travels and experiences in general and the cool creative things that catch my eye.....I don't promise to post regularly...only when I really have something to say that I want to share...
